Hello, dear readers!
I’m excited to share with you the journey behind my latest book, Bendigo’s First Flight. From the initial spark of an idea to the final draft, every step of this journey was filled with challenges and triumphs.
I had most of it written when my first book, Bendigo’s Lost Socks, was being launched. We know how difficult it can be to face our own fears, and now more than ever, encouraging our little readers to face their own fears will help them. From the first few words of rhyme to the last word, I aim to metre the rhythm and to make if fun to read. If there is no joy in the book, then there is no point in writing it. As always, my illustrator helps to reflect the character through the story.
